Ahoy, Mates!

Can anyone help me out in giving me an early lead in replacing my original spinnaker pole which I stupidly snapped in two on the backstay of another boat inlast night's beercan?

I'd go to a metal fabrication shop and have them make one. I can't imagine ever finding a true Gunmount spinnaker pole, it's a very rare item, but your broken part is pretty much just a fairly ordinary aluminum tube. Dump the whole pile of broken pieces at a supplier/fabricator place. They can drill out the fasteners of the fittings on the broken one and re-use them.

Is there a "Metal Supermarkets" in your town? ( http://www.metalsupermarkets.com ) For work I've had them make various things and they made my stern-mounted radar tower for my F32. It's just another metal gizmo to them but the results are every bit as good as a "real marine" one, maybe better. And I bet it's about half the price.

Thanks for the advice, Rick. I ended up welding the two pieces. Works fine!
