Although more nearly a Nonesuch than a Freedom, this is a beautiful looking boat with a few details that could be incorporated into some freedom rigs: look at http://www.bigwindsurfer.com/index.html

G,

Nice rig kinda like a Wiley Cat. I wonder if one of those carbon fiber wheels would help me get up wind. Numbknots

Indeed a Wyliecat look alike, only much more luxury on board. The Wylies are spartanic racers. I still feel much more comfortable with my split rig although it may be less efficient than one huge sail. I wonder how the single sail rig with its huge wishbone would hold up in a storm during an Atlantic crossing.

I think that large sail would be more efficient that 2 poles as you would only be disturbing air one time and air flow would stick to that big sail area. Atlantic crossing with that lg wishbone, no thanks. It would be like playing on an enormous mouse trap. You would be putting the "wish" in wishbone for sure. What a beautiful hull shape though. Numbknots
