The problem seems to be these narrow horizontal tanks and trying to find a OPD propane valve to fit them. These are the valves that are in them but they are no longer the standard type apparently.

Anyone find a source for these valves?

My tank in my Freedom 32 just started leaking and everyone in Florida seems to have zero idea what to do, how to do it.

Yikes.

I have a f 35 p - 2 vertical smallish tanks 1.4 gal each. I tried to refill mine recently - one tank was dated good with a few months left, the other was out dated and needed a new OPD valve. Brought it to a propane dealer and they could not get the new OPD valve with the float shutoff to fit - tank was too narrow. I ordered a new tank from WM - slightly larger in height and diameter but still fit. Pic below shows top most is the new tank and lower tank is the older. Slight difference.

Awesome.

That might be plan B. Our Freedom 32's have HORIZONTAL orientation 6# tanks. Ugh. Fit in the combing boxes neatly, wooden cradels. Perfect, except they stopped making them.

Chatted up the manufacturer to no avail..."we dont make them" after 6 emails back and forth until he finally got the HORIZONTAL part.

I have a few people looking to get new valves for them, but it is a work in progress.

Thanks
