The Fuel Feed Pump on my 3GMF is leaking at the center.
Looks to be a gasket or the membrane that meks up the diaphram.
Has anyone every rebuilt one? Tips? Help?
Taking it off and cleaning it seems straight forward. I would rather rebuild it and replace anything worn rather than replace.
Also, looking for suggestions for where to purchase parts.
Thanks

Re: Fuel Feed Pump 3GM(f)
They can’t be rebuilt, that’s what I’ve been told by several trusted mechanics and parts guys. The rebuild parts, I’m told, are simply not available from Yanmar or anyone else. Fortunately, I remember the whole pump as relatively reasonably priced, or at least not “laugh out loud” priced. It’s a cakewalk to change out to a new one (I did it once in 8-10’ seas!)
You’re in Florida, right? Mastry Engines in St. Pete is huge, they have absolutely everything for any Yanmar and it’s always in stock. You’ll have it in-hand the next day. They’ve gotten genuinely weird about selling direct to the consumer, sometimes they will and sometimes I have to order through my mechanic, I haven’t quite figured out what the difference is, it almost seems like it depends on who answers the phone.
