I came across a little piece of enlightment, my usual way, while sailing sunday. While running wing and wing I decided to jibe the main over to a broad reach. I found out that not only is it important to loosen your out haul when main is let out all the way to keep the foot from pulling the track off mast but it is ESPECIALY important to tighten it again before you bring it back across the deck. Why??? Because the wishbone boom is now longer than the distance between the main mast and the mizzen mast if you don't retighten the outhaul. So dont make that mistake okay, cause it really sucks.
