Anti-Spam Measures: Posting Interval & Number of Links

Post by GeoffSchultz »

Due to some spam attacks, you now have to wait 2 minutes between posts and your post can contain no more than 2 links to web sites. This should deter some spammers and I'll probably change these limits based upon activity. If this causes you a problem, please let me know via a private message and I can disable these limits on a per account basis.

Last night I had over 400 registrations from Russia. As a result I've effectively banned all of the IP addresses from there. I don't think that's a big problem given the number of Freedoms that are probably there...

However, this forum has targeted by spammers, so if you see some spam sneaking in, please let me know so that I can deal with it ASAP.

Hahaha, from Russia! With love, I suppose. The Russians are still too much into Rolexes and Hummers to understand the Freedom concept. If I see spam I'll report it.

Best,
Michel
