F35 P re-building table
F35 P re-building table
PO had tried to tighten wood screws into the fold down table top - three legs -- 2 for leaf and 1 for main table -- but screws were stripped. He used larger screws which poked right up through the top side of both leaf and table. Didn't really look great that way with steel glaring at you. I removed the table top and leaf, sanded to bare and re-veneered with new cherry, stained and varnished with satin polyurethane. Results ok

Looks good to me. Congratulations

Picture looks great.
That was a good project. You didn't have to hang upside down in the engine room, and you get to see the results every time you sit down for food or dink.

Quite beautiful, I’d say!
But I’m curious. What’s that object that’s on the headliner?

Re: F35 P re-building table
PO had taken out the original overhead circular cabin light and replaced with a nice LED light. It’s in a nice rectangular wooden box frame. There are two of these-one aft- all lights are now LED -you can also see some hanging-sagging overhead headliner. I removed it all when doing the deck work and re hanging was a pita. Mike Cunningham has a good write up of his re-do....mine is ok
