F36/38 Sails for Sale
Unfortunately I lost my F36/38 in the Mattapoisett Boatyard fire last August. You can relive it with me if you desire- my mast is visible in the first 20 seconds at the far right of the video. An hour later she was gone, along with the entire boatyard, over a dozen boats and 45 cars. https://www.you...

Re: Rebdding and riveting mast track
Good write up on rivets vs. screws used on spars in the current issue of Practical Sailor. Based on my reading, I agree that monel rivets seem best and your plan seems sound.
Good luck. Let us know what you do.

Re: Fuzzy forward hatch
My understanding is that epoxy does not have a lot of UV stability and so an unprotected layer of epoxy might look good at first, but eventually yellow and crack from UV degradation. Assuming your "fuzz" is on the exterior of the hatch.
Good luck.

Re: F38 Mast Leak, Ready to admit defeat
Hi Ed, If you are indeed leaking around the collar area and into the cabin, I'd definitely lift the collar and re-calk the entire area. Like you, I store with mast up during the winter, but on the rare occasion that the mast has been pulled, I've been impressed how much caulking was used beneath the...

Re: F38 Cover
Hi Ed
I’d gladly take both off your hands as I have a F38 in Mattapoisett with a Fairclough system. Could always use extra material and parts. Happy to make a donation. Could pick it up weekend of April 28 if that works
for you.
