Mike
Nice job. Looks professional. How did you secure glass? Adhesive tape?

Re: fixed portlight leak test jig

Simple enough test. The only problem is the seal may exhibit different results when installed in its intended position with curvature of cabin top sides.

Re: SYNTRON SHAFT SEAL MAINTENANCE

In 2019 I decided to replace the Syntron Shaft seal with a Norscot Shaft seal for at least half the price ($350) of a Syntron seal rebuild kit. Plus the lead time was longer than I could tolerate. It is a good seal but requires external lubrication from a reservoir using transmission fluid. I figure...

Dwight
I don't claim to be an expert but I did purchase years ago a copy of "Boat & Yacht Corrosion Control" by Yacht Corrosion Consultants Inc. which I use as refernce material. I guess I know enough to get myself in trouble. LOL A degree in Electrical Engineering helps.

Re: Keel/Bottom

Dwight Thanks for your reply. I value your opinion on the matter. I've been in the same slip since before owning this Freedom in 2001. Granted surrounding boats change from time to time so trying to nail down the culprit at this time is difficult. Years ago I built a test cable/box with 30 amp male ...

Boat stays in water all winter and I hang a 2 in x 8 in zinc over side connected to bonding system of boat. When I ca...

Re: Freedom 36 battery location and number?

Mine are located under the galley sink. I moved them to accomodate 4 six volt golf cart batteries and to be nearer to the relocated electrical panel which is now on the side of the galley cabinetry. The space under chart table is now for the the inverter and the hot water heater is now under the set...

Re: Mast Collar

You are welcome. Glad it worked out for you. I tried to get a mast boot last spring from them and they were all out and lead time didn't match my launch date.
