Unless you bought 'pre-stretched' line, dyneema single braid always has a little "construction stretch" when first loaded up as the braid tightens. That's one of the reasons new line is easier to splice than old line that's been heavily loaded. I wouldn't worry too much about chafe with dyneema, but...

I have a Freedom 25 with an outboard and am starting to think about refitting a diesel inboard.

The cockpit hatch on my Freedom 25 slides in a pair of white plastic U channels, about 3/4" X 3/4" on the outside. Counter sunk screws and bedding compound hold them in place.
