Re: Tips on how to remove an impeller

I had the same setup (yanmar) and the same issues (no room) removing the impeller. End up purchasing a Jabsco impeller puller WM # 286890. This was the ONLY way I could find to remove the impeller, and still had to use mirror, flashlight and a lot of feel. The tool did the job, but still very diffic...

Re: Auxilary fuel pump

On a Cal 39 I owned the previous owner installed a bulb type hand pump you would find on an outboard motor.
The pump was between fuel tank and filter. It was low cost, simple and got the job done.

Re: Reefing Line Configuration

I have had both on two different boats. The single line on a F36. I liked the single line system better. On both systems I used light weight blocks the Sail clews attached with 1" webbing. There were only two issues. When reefing, don't fully release the haylard, let it down at the same time taking ...

Re: Nav Lights Freedom 25

Sounds like a good job for a Dremel with a small sanding drum to enlarge the hole. Using a large drill bit kinda tares up the CF. Keep in mind, at the top of the mast the loading is much lower. So unless you make a really big hole, no problem. Also the trick to keep wires from banging around inside ...

Re: Why I wouldn't buy a Village Marine water maker (again)

For membranes and other RO equip try these guys: www.americanro.com. They are a Industrial RO supplier. Since they do not have "Marine" in front of thier name, pricing maybe better. Sell same suff. The fitting you show in the pic looks like BSP. Try Mcmaster.com. They have just about every SS fittin...

Re: F30 PHRF measurments

The original Freedom manual (87') states Main: 348 sqft, Jib 137sqft.
They do not state actual dims for sails.
Google these guys: Mauri Pro Sailing. I think they have listing of all rig dims,

Good luck racing.

Re: Marine Air Compressor Problem

This may seem obvious, but, make sure your rotolock valve is mid point. Not front seated or back seated.
I have made this mistake before and over charged the system, thinking there was no head pressure.
