AutoPilot for 40/40

Any owners of a 40/40 out there who have a newer AutoPilot? Wondering what you chose and whether you are happy with it? What issues you had installing it, etc?

Our old Robertson no longer works...

Thanks!

Re: F 40/40 2nd Bilge Pump location

Congratulations on your recent purchase! We also have a 1997 40/40 that we bought in 2016. We've been extremely happy and continue to compare her to other new boats at boat shows and still feel that she's a better boat. Back to your question... have a bilge pump under the same floor board as the eng...

No, we did not. Would you recommend that? Again - any and all thoughts/suggestions are much appreciated!
Thanks,

Removing portlight on 40/40

We've been tracking down a leak on the side of our 40/40. We've been seeing rusty water coming down from the top deck main traveler and also noted some rusty water stains on the bulkhead inside the head. Thinking these two were related, we took down the ceiling in the head and noted that the there w...

Re: Companionway doors

We have a 1997 40/40 and we store the two bottom ones in the bottom stair compartment, although the top one doesn't fit. So we place that one under one of the seat cushions on the starboard settee.

Re: Dining table - How to lower

Which boat is it? They must all be different because our 40/40 has a bord that slides out from under the settee and locks in place with a pin. The dining table is not involved.

Re: 40/40 jib traveler rigging

We re-rigged it with single blocks on both sides, but it still doesn't seem quite right. Could someone take a picture of their jib traveler setup and post it or send it to me?
It would be much appreciated!

40/40 main halyard length and material

Our spare halyard broke last weekend and we want to make our current main halyard into a spare and put a new main halyard. What would people recommend for the material? Does anyone know the length that is necessary - we are thinking about 140 feet - does that sound right? What's the best procedure f...

40/40 jib traveler rigging

Last season our jib traveler car broke and today we were able to replace it. We have been sailing without the jib traveler car for a while and had removed the blocks that it ran through. Unfortunately, we can't figure out where the jib sheet is supposed run through. Any chance someone can either tak...
