What does the casting look like? If your boom is an Isomat, they have them at RigRite. I replaced one of the aluminum end caps on my boom a few years ago with a new one from them. However, mine is a US-built boat, and maybe they used different components when building in the UK.

The 35 sails much better in light winds, the 38 needs at least 10kt of breeze to do anything. Above 15kt, a 38 is right in its prime, and I imagine the 35 is reefed or close to it. I think I might have mentioned this to you, but Paul Dennis has a mast from that red F21 that he scrapped. Getting the mast to you would be tricky, but he would probably ship you the masthead piece. I'm not sure if it's the same design as the mastheads on the bigger Freedoms, but if it is, there ain...

I built one using this pump and a hose barb threaded into a piece of starboard as a pickup. Works great.
