Re: Marelon Valve Replacement
I am starting down this same path. My engine seawater intake marelon ball valve does not totally stop water in the off position. I started to change my impeller, but with the valve in the closed position, considerable water was still coming through. Flow is slowed down in the off position, but still...

Hot Water heater manufacturer for F45 CC 1991
I have a 12 gallon SS hot water heater. I believe it is original. There is no manufacturer name or part number/serial number anywhere. It says 'Taiwan', 9amp, 12 gallon, and Horizontal. It is 12-1/4 x 12-1/4 x 23-3/4 inches. Does anyone know who the original manufacturer would have been. I haven't h...

Re: Restoring modified Freedom 45 CC to self-tending jib?
My boat also has an athwartships jib traveller. I was going to also ask if that was part of the standard/original setup? The block has been repurposed as a turning block for the boom furler's furling line.

Re: Restoring modified Freedom 45 CC to self-tending jib?
Thanks for the replies! I will make an inquiry to Warren. The bow pulpit mods may have messed up the spot for mounting the camberspar. FWIW, the boat has running backstays to help compensate for the furler/larger headsail. But they are a bit of a pain in their own way, too. If going back to cambersp...

Restoring modified Freedom 45 CC to self-tending jib?
I have a 1991 Freedom 45 CC, which was modified by a previous owner to eliminate the camberspar; put a larger headsail on; add a roller furler; genoa tracks, running backstays, and jib winches. I am interested in converting back to the original self-tending design. But the camberspar and mount are g...

F45 CC Opening ports - where to get new gaskets?
We are the newish owners of a '91 Freedom 45 CC. Our opening ports are stainless, and the gaskets are shot. I've had no luck identifying the manufacturer/make/model. Has anyone here found a good source for these gaskets?
Thanks!
