Re: New Jib for Freedom 32

Wow...Picked up new Jib from Mack Sails in Stuart Florida. 3 month wait was worth it. Beautiful sail, love the colors they incorporated in stitching matches boat. Took a bit to get camber spar back in and rigged - but I am sure it will stretch out a bit. Sail cloth quality is impressive. Less than $...

Re: F35 (Pedrick) - New Sails

Sailmaker Suggestion Mack Sails in Stuart, FL came highly recommended by others here. I went up to the loft and met with them, having them do a new Jib for my Freedom 32 (Hoyt). About $1400 for the jib....which was in the middle of the three bids I received. They said they had done many, knew exactl...

Re: Like new sail cover Pendrick 35 FREE

Wow...if that would fit my F-32 Hoyt i will gladly pay for shipping. Do you have rough dimensions?

Thanks

BTW - Mack Sails is currently doing my jib - they said they had done a great many with the camber spar - cant wait to get it, but it will be early Nov.

Re: Propane dilemma

Yes...what a dilemma. The F 32 horizontal 10 lbs fit so well in the coming boxes - room for one in each. Getting a new tank converted seem impossible...cant find a source. Combing box too small for any other tank type. Sure, could use cheap green ones, but not very efficient. I guess no one has any ...

Re: Propane dilemma

Thanks Mark. Yes, no luck about horizontal tank at 6lbs. No where. I thought I could pay someone to convert, but even in Ft Lauderdale seems no takers. I get that I can put a verticle tank on my rail, but with a F 32 Hoyt it isnt my favorite solution. I you want to get rid of either of your tanks, l...

Ground Wire connection to Keel Bolts

Looking at my grounding wire after replacing the engine - it seems they just ran the green wire to a keel bolt. They secured it with a hose clamp - which does not work. The square edges of the bolt insure that the wire is not held tight - and slips off. The bilge stays pretty dry, but sometimes has ...

Re: Propane dilemma

OK...I am now rather surprised, and could use some support here on our board. For a number of years I tried to fine SOME way, ANY way to get a new horizontal tank for my F-32 and no one had ideas. My tank is original and is failing, hard to get anyone to refill it these days...event in Florida (wher...

Rigging a Preventer

Has anyone rigged a preventer for their main sail? I am doing a bit of single handing coming up and my experience is that I am great with following winds at the helm, but notice that when others at the helm it isn't too uncommon that they cause an unintentional jibe. Since I will leave the helm unde...
