Mast bedding or paint chipping?
On a Freedom 28, CF mast, along the mast track towards the top of the mast there is something happening on either side of the sail track. Can't tell if its sloppy bedding or if the paint is chipping. All the rivets appear to be tight. Here is a link to a you tube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: Freedom 36 battery location and number?
Thanks for the info. I like the idea of making a 3 battery house bank and adding one for the engine in the back.RadioZephyr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 11:20 amIt's underneath the chart table. I have three group 31 batteries under there, after extending the shelf about an inch.

Freedom 36 battery location and number?
I've started to look at "next boats" and was wondering where the battery locker is located on a Freedom 36? How many batteries of what size will fit. Thanks in advance..

Anyone use online outboard shop?
Found this site thru a google search. https://www.outboardonlineshop.com/ They sell outboards at a very low price. These are left over 2019 motors... They require you to pay thru PayPal, which makes me nervous. Can you still dispute a CC payment if its thru paypal?
Any advice is appreciated....

Anyone re-insulated their reefer box?
We have a Freedom 28 sloop, I'm trying to figure out the best way to access to re insulate and replace parts. Looking at it, it seems you could remove the bulkhead in the cockpit locker, or take the top counter off... Has anyone done this before? Any tips are appreciated...

Re: F28 (Mull) refrigeration
Thanks for the information, but given that we don't cruise, I can't justify the expense of replacement right now. The frozen water bottles serve will enough for a weekender.

Re: F28 (Mull) refrigeration
Finally had a little time after other projects to look at the refrigerator. You hit the nail on the head, the compressor is missing. Do you happen to remember the name of a system that I could put in?

F28 (Mull) refrigeration
We purchased our boat 5 years ago, and have been using it for day sailing only. We never really looked at the ice box until recently. It has light metal plates on the walls and a temp control dial mounted on a box inside. We have no idea how to operate it, can anyone give me an idea how this works?

Re: Prop, what would you do?
Maybe a better question would be, how many rpms are others with a Yanmar 2gm20 turning at normal cruise speed. And do you have anything left if you increase the throttle after that?
