FOR SALE>>>>>1989 Freedom 45cc

Good morning, I'm considering the sale of my 1989 Freedom 45cc. She's in great shape and I've lived aboard for the past two years. I don't use the AC or the trash compacter but they are here. She also has a bow thruster and remote windless control from the helm. All of the electronics are new B&G, R...

Re: Rigging sails and single line reefing on a F45cc

Hi Mark,
Thanks so much for the reply, This is very helpful. So most owners only use the two reefs, I think I only have reefing lines for two so that makes sense.
She's coming together, although I just found a tear in the main sail. Any advise on replacements?

Thanks,
Don

Re: Freedom 45 CC update

Good Afternoon, Shasta is coming along nicely. It's a boat so I never know what will be the issue of the day lol. Currently working on the vacuflush heads, the main sail has a tear in it that I hope can be sewn. All in all though she's in great shape. We're currently in Grenada enjoying the tropics....

Re: Rigging sails and single line reefing on a F45cc

Hi Pat thank you! This will be helpful as I get the main back on. It's out for some repair at the moment. I bought the boat here in Grenada on the hard. It had most of the running rigging stowed and I had no idea how it went back together. I had the rigging guys stop over and one said" it's going to...

Rigging sails and single line reefing on a F45cc

Happy Holidays sailors and Freedom owners. I need someones help, I know you're out there. I'm the new owner of a 1989 Freedom 45cc. The thing is she's been completely de-rigged for storage. I don't have the luxury of having the owner here to help and I'm trying to figure it out on my own. Questions ...

1989 Freedom 45cc shaft seal

Happy Easter fellow sailors, It actually snowed here in Upstate NY this morning, The boats are still wrapped and sitting in their cradles. I'm looking to replace my shaft seal. Have any of you done this before and if so what brand did you use? I'd like to go with one of the newer dripless types. Als...

Freedom 45 CC update

Good morning, Like some others here I have just purchased a Freedom Yacht. She's a 1989 Freedom 45cc. She appears to be in great shape but needs to be "refreshed" There will be plenty of sanding and varnishing, chasing down electrical systems, new antifoul, I'm sure most of you know the drill. I do ...

owners manual, 45cc

Good afternoon Sailors, I have recently entered into an agreement to purchase a 1989 Freedom 45cc, it's in the works :D . I'd like to get a jump on things and read the owners manual ahead of time. I also believe there is a rigging and sail tuning manual?? Do any of you know where to find those? Wish...

Re: Survey advise

Hi Pat,
Thanks for the encouragement. The boat is scheduled for survey on the 19th of March. Fingers crossed that goes ok. I really need the boarders to open up so I can go see the boat.

Wishing you well,
Don
