Re: Spinnaker Dimensions??

We have a spinnaker for our F32 Hoyt 1984- would you be interested in buying it. Great shape and we have never used it.

Re: Strange engine happening

worth changing your injector nozzles, cheaper than rebuild/cleaning and doing it every 3-5 yesrd depending on engine usage seems like a good idea to me

Forestay sheared twice on F32

In the space of two years we have had our forestay shear at the deck turnbuckle twice. Both times when not actually on the boat - we just came back to find it broken. I realize that this stay is kept slightly slack and that the camber boom exerts some lateral pressure. The rigger is at a loss to exp...

Re: Yanmar locked up

[quote="dwight"]Before replacing injectors, you might want to consider having them serviced. A local diesel tech in Rhode Island offered this service at $40 per injector for my Yanmar 3GM." Dwight - this approach sounds reasonable - I have had injectors cleaned. Since the current vessel F32 was purc...

Re: Yanmar locked up

Rich.... did you change the injectors yourself or have a local mechanic do it and cost? We're in Newport RI nearby and thinking of changing injectos of ours so interested in your recommendation .

engine vibration

Following an anchor line wrapping around the prop recently I have noticed extreme vibration when throttling up our Yanmar between 900 and 1500 rpm.approx - it smooths out after that but the vibrations feel like the shaft is going to fly off! Nothing seems amiss when diving although not in great visi...

topping lifts & vang leads

In the process of installing our new Garhauer vang - a beautiful piece of equipment by the way. It occurs to me that it might be a good idea to compliment it with a topping lift - supposedly not needed with the vang but how about when reefed? Does the boom have to be lifted more than the vang can ac...

Re: Main halyard at top of mast of F-36.

I've just been through the same problem - posts on FreedomOwnersGroup@yahoogroups.com
we ended up using a cherry picker at the local yard - took them about 10 minutes. I am thinking about adding a block at the masthead and leaving a messenger in place.
