Re: Best way to run wires to Radar/chartplotter

I recently installed a Raymarine C90 as well as new wind, depth and speed gizmos in my Freedom 30. I replaced the original 1" pedestal guard (9 1/2" centers) with a taller bent one that I got from Navpod. The main wire that connected to the plotter was approximately 3/8" in diameter and housed all p...

Re: Slender tall propane tank for F36

Hi Petar, I thought I was going to have trouble making the necessary changes to the 22" tall tanks on our F30. Sounds like you may have the same tank. I'm in BC and simply took my tanks to a Chevron station. Their propane delivery guy picked up my tanks when he came in for a fill, and presto - 7 day...

Re: Propane tank upgrade

Looks like you're in the PNW like I am - we're in Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver. We got our F30 last fall from Dana Pt and it came with 2 of the Worthington tanks. (I've just had them recertified so they're good to go for the next 10 years). Having a full one on the boat is great when one goes empty. W...

Re: Freedom 30 1988 holding tank oder

Thanks for that lickity-split response! The holding tank I have is some kind of plastic but now that I smell what happens after 20 years of being on the bum end of things I think aluminum would be preferable. I'll check out those folks in FL.

1989 F30 Holding Tank Replacement

I just hauled out our F30 89 holding tank for a clean as well as replacing all the pipes. The tank smells on the outside - I think it's time for a replacement. Does anyone have a lead on a manufacturer that has a suitable mold?

Re: Wireless Internet Access using Ubiquiti Bullet2-HP

OK, I'm somewhat late in the game on this one - but based on all of the preceding Bullet2 conversation, I bought the recommended bits and pieces last October and they just arrived yesterday, Dec 16th. Hot items it seems. These are going into the Freedom 30 Julia and I brought up to West Vancouver, C...

Re: Circumference of F30 Mast at Base

We just put a universal mast boot on our Mull '89 Freedom 30. Our boot was distributed by Western Marine (not West Marine) in Canada. The manufacturer is a company called SSI and the boot fits masts 17 1/2" to 31". There were about 7 or 8 options of where you could cut the boot to fit the mast's cir...

Re: Freedom33 Owners in Western Canada

I was about to ask the same question, but with regard to Freedom 30 owners. I'm in West Vancouver and in the process of getting her shipped north from California.
