Re: F30 Freshwater Pump Replacement

Another suggestion - I've got a pump like Tricia's on a platform at the top of the bilge just under the floorboards. Everything is much easier to access than either the original position under the chart table or under the sink.

Boat is 197 miles away up in Blaine now, so no pictures.

Re: SYNTRON SHAFT SEAL MAINTENANCE

Do not install a Norscott seal as when it fails it dumps transmission oil into the ocean.

Contact Warren boat Works for a custom cut dripless seal.

Re: Mast split

This is not the first time this issue has appeared and been discussed on the site.

See: https://freedomyachts.org/viewtopic.php ... ane#p49451

Corrosion of the masthead fitting apparently is envolved.

Re: Fuel tank removal on F32

Diesel is not gasoline. Why not just fill the tank with water if you are concerned and cut the tank out?

Re: Boat insurance question

There was a post on this site in 2015 by someone looking for a new mizzen mast for a Freedom and I think the cost was $10,000 or so plus shipping. More recently you and I were also posting with SVB???? about a new mast for his F30. He was looking for a used mast because he didn't think he could affo...

Re: Boat insurance question

Mike - I have BoatUS/Geico insurance as well and the premium is about the same as yours. Looking at the prices for our F-30s on Yacht World; I think that "market value" will not cover a mast replacement or even a significant accident. They will total the boat! I know my "agreed value" policy won't d...

Re: Propane Tank for Freedom 32

If you cannot source any tanks that will fit in your existing horizontal tank combing boxes then maybe you should consider buying one of these and mounting it on a stantion with a new Worthington 6 lb tank. https://powertank.com/products/bkt-2287 I added one to Heart' Desire so I could carry a third...

Re: F 40/40 Engine Raw Water intake

The Marlon valve you propose will allow you to flush out your engine, and it would permit using the engine to pump out water from the boat; but it would preclude being able to clear weeds from the raw water intake.
