Re: Stronger Luff Slides Needed
I assume the plastic slugs failed and not the tabbing.
Maybe the stainless steel slugs for the Strong Track system would work better.

Re: Feathering prop for F-30
Just to close-out the topic.
I bought a used 16" Autostream S1 feathering prop and am having it trimmed down to 15".
Still $1,000 less than a new one.

Re: Feathering prop for F-30
Anyone know if a 16" prop will fit on a Freedom 30?
The existing prop is 14" and I've only seen it once.
The water here is very cold now, so I'm not looking to dive it now.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Tides Marine Rudder Bearing on 40/40
Sorry for your trouble
The Vesconite site might help.
http://www.xpcbearings.com/home/what_ar ... ite_hilube
They have a section on rudder bearings and another on installation that recommends adhesives.
Maybe looking at this site or giving them a call would help.

Feathering prop for F-30
Anyone put a feathering prop on a Freedom 30? I've got a 14 x 14 3-blade fixed that seems over-propped, I can't reach 3600 rpm. Martec has tentatively recommended a 15 x 11 3-blade SS Autostream at north of $2800. The KIWI Prop site table shows a 15.5 or 16 x 18 prop for the Yanmar 2GM20F at about $...

Re: SSB wire Antenna - mast flex
Still mulling over the installation. So far I've settled on a 14 ga vinyl covered copper random length wire antenna tied off th to mast head with some leftover 1/8" Spectra and extending downward to a bungee attached 7-foot fiberglass antenna extension mounted to the starboard side of the transom. M...

Re: SSB wire Antenna - mast flex
Thanks for the reply Jeff. I have thought about the Shakespeare whip antenna on the stern opposite the radar post. (Saw your boat pictures too.) I can buy a new Shakespeare 28 foot ssb antenna whip for under $200 at the local consignment shop right now and adding the bracket for it will put it on th...

SSB wire Antenna - mast flex
I'm ready to mount the antennas on my newly installed radar post and am planning a long wire ssb / HF antenna from the top of the post up to the masthead. I searched the forum about wire antennas and it appears that some sort of bungee snubber on low end of the the antenna to allow for mast flex is ...
