Re: solar panel system setup - request for advise

I installed a Hamilton Ferris Solar kit of 4X50W flexible panels on top of the bimini.

Thank you, Stephen. Nice presentation.

Re: solar panel system setup - request for advise

Hoping to revive this conversation chain. Any thoughts on a solar set up for an F38. Thinking of the bimini arch but it is not very strong. Flexible panels on the deck will probably be impacted by shade. Has anyone found a stronger arch that fits the F38? I definitely want to install solar for next ...

Re: cracked mast

I posted my concern on this website some years back and got an interesting response from the engineer (Rick) who worked on Freedom masts from 1980 tom 1985. I have copied his response below. "I am the engineer that did the structural engineering on Freedo...

Re: Main Halyard Problem

Re: F35 Hatches

Ed,

How much did HatchMasters charge to refurbish the hatch? My small forward starboard hatch is leaking.

Swim Ladder replacement

The s/s stub supports for the stern swim ladder on my F38 have corroded at the weld point. I would like to replace with new stubs. Anyone know where I can order such items. Save me sometime searching the web.

Replacing the shift cable on F38

The shift cable snapped on me just as I was pulling up to a mooring. I drifted on...lucky for me. I took the Edison binnacle apart and noticed that the cable broke just below the connector to the shift lever. Luckily there was sufficient thread left on the cable for me to re-thread the cable back in...
