Re: Would appreciate your thoughts - cruising
Dale, Thanks for the great post. You have validated so many of the things I've been thinking. Even though Her Diamond has been great as a 2 week summer vacation cruise boat, there is a huge leap to transforming her to a live-aboard. Regarding the Tides Marine track, we installed a couple years ago a...

Carl,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Wondering if anyone else with Atlantic coastal and Caribbean experience has a few minutes to provide thoughts/suggestions.
Thank you,
Bob

Would appreciate your thoughts - cruising
Dear All, The Admiral and I are approaching retirement and planning to move aboard our 1991 F38 in May of 2017. We will first be visiting some destinations on the Great Lakes that have been out of reach on our many 2 week vacation cruises (Macinac Island, etc.), and then, toward the end of the summe...

Re: weird crack from hull to keel
If this is external ballast and boat is in otherwise good condition - you're probably not going to want to hear this - but proper fix would be to drop keel, grind everything clean, re-bed & reinstall keel, then glass over & fair keel to sump joint. Weeping water is of particular concern in that it c...

Re: Mark Edwards' current email address
Thank you for info. 14 years ago Mark and I exchanged email (see attached) as I thought about moving up from our F 30 to a larger boat in anticipation of eventually retiring, moving aboard and cruising. Hard to believe 12 years have passed, I am 10 months from retirement and deeply into refit as we ...

Would be very interesting to hear what Tides has to say. I would also reach out to Paul Dennis at Warren River Boat Works. 401-245-6949.

Re: Jib top reached attachment?
Michael, Response from my sailmaker: "The total space measured was 30'. The log length of the sail will be 30.08' . The length of the furler will be 28.67'." Info provided by Dan Elliott of Ulman sails in Cleveland OH 216-486-5732. He said feel free to call him with any questions. As a reminder, my ...

Re: Jib top reached attachment?
I don't know luff length - it was measured by my sailmaker. I will check with him. Keep in mind that my sail (actually furling unit) will be tacked to the top of the bow pulpit rather than stem head fitting.
