I just bought 1986 Freedom 36!!
Hi,
I am now proud and very much excited owner of an 1986 Freedom 36. I guess I'll be asking many more questions in coming weeks and months.
Regards/Petar

F36 Fuel Tank plywood cover?
Hi
Are your fuel tanks under the Starboard quarter berth covered with plywood which is also glassed in at the sides and impossible to remove unless it is cut out?

Re: Emergency steering on F36
I've looked on the boat and could not see what you have described as emergency tiller. Would you be able to take a photograph and provide dimensions of your em'cy steering arrangement. I have located the hole into which it is attached on top of the rudder post/shaft.

Self tacking jib with Camberspar Sail arrangement was reasonably easy to hoist and lower down. I guess with little practice I'd be able to do it easily. Whe...

Re: Mast Hairline Crack
Good day Rick, Your response is encouraging. I my self am looking at one Freedom 36 built in 1986 and only issue I could note with the mast are the cracks that run around the entire circumferrence of that reinforcement doubler where gooseneck is for boom attachment. Here are the the photographs I ha...
