Re: What size stands for a Hoyt 32?
Last year I purchased (4) 35-52" stands for the mid and stern sections. With a single 4x4 block under the keel these are just tall enough to work, although I wish I would have gone the next size up. For the bow I purchased used from a friend but don't recall their height, they are considerably talle...

Re: F32 Gun Mount line clarification
Hey Alan, Thanks but yes I've read/seen those. Rick's writeup mentiones that he has tried both ways so I was hoping for some input from others who had a preference and as to why. I ended up setting it up with the line to the stern side of the spin. With little wind the sail goes into the water fairl...

F32 Gun Mount line clarification
I am going to be comleting the rigging for my gun mount later today or tomorrow, everything is pretty straight forward except for the way the retreival line should be run. Does it run on the forward (bow) side of the spin or the rear (stern) side of it? My thought is the forward side, my reason is i...

Re: Camber Spar Information
Hi Ed and thank you for responding, My apologies if I haven't made the issue clear. No way would I attempt to place it on and off the camber spar each time I sail, spring and fall only as you state. (it's difficult enough at those times lol) Unless I manually push the stay end of the camber spar up ...

Re: Camber Spar Information
Thanks Alan, I have seen that which was very helpful in getting it rigged, but it doesn't address some of the unusual issues found on the actual set up. What I found is to get the tack and first hank onto the stay I need to keep the sheet loose and then manually push the camber spar sheave up the st...

Re: Hoyt 32 jib stay
Hey Alan, Yes mine is the same, but there are many factors not at all similar to a typical Bermuda rig. As nice as the sail is under sail, it's not overly friendly when it comes time to use it. I have found that as long as I manually raise the camberspar up to it's natural sail-raised resting spot I...

Hoyt 32 jib stay
I have read that the jib stay should be very loose, which mine is. I am running into an issue where when I get the jib onto the camber-spar hooks after much work that I cannot get the bottom hank onto the stay. If I loosen the stay more it really rests on the bow pulpit a lot, and even then I cannot...

Re: F32 Gunmout boom spinnaker camber spar jib
Ed, thank you for the gunmount and spinnaker set up, I can't wait to use it this summer. Let me know how your furling project goes as I might be interested in a similar conversion.
