Re: Jib top reached attachment?

Hi, I no longer use the asymmetrical as the Jib top reacher does everything that the assymetrical does and more. it will point higher than you think, 45 to 50 degrees depending on sheeting arrangements. I dont think running back stays are nessacary. Id like to mount mine permanently on a furler. Che...

Re: New House Batteries - AGM or Flooded Cell?

Re: Iridium Go!

Ive only just been looking at these. Im seriously over the sat phone. My needs are weather and texts. My iridium sim card is ridiculously expensive , and on the last trip couldn't text? Re: Carrying a dinghy

Hi all, I don't tow the dinghy often. I've been caught out a couple of times by squalls and it was one more thing I had to worry about. The dinghy tow system seems awfully expensive. I agree with Geoff regarding not underestimating nature. Ive seen several davit systems not deal well with adverse we...

Re: Carrying a dinghy

Hi, now I'm not suggesting this is a perfect way to carry a tender but in most conditions im comfortable with it. Im yet to find a perfect way on a 33foot freedom. Davits like Geoffs are usually the best option in my opinion but I have a hydrovane on the back and also a lot of other weight back ther...

Re: climbing your unstayed carbon mast, your experience?

Hi, I also use the top climber with a second safety line. And also find the only issue is not being quite high enough at the top.

Re: New 28CK User

Hi, for me the Freedom 33 and 28 ketches are the best looking Freedoms. They look like a cruising boat should.
