Wow! This looks to be very informative, succinct, and accurate! Now we will go out and finally fly our spinnaker! THANK YOU.

Just read Rick’s paper on using the gun mount spinnaker. My f28 came rigged for spinnaker but not with a spinnaker or bag designed for the gun mount and I seem to be missing some stoppers and lines, etc. can someone send me some photos of the pole and bag rigged ready to deploy, showing the blocks at the bow and the stopper arrangement on the cabin top, other useful images?

If you don't have this already here are the pages from the F28 manual on the spinnaker setup. I will add the caveat that the setup on my own boat differs quite a bit from what is shown in the manual. The spinnaker yard is tapered and locks into the gun mount sleeve at the centerline, so there are no blocks at the gun mount to move the yard in and out. The clew lines run through blocks at the end of the yard, through turning blocks at the base of the bow pulpit, and thence over the foredeck and cabin top to the line stoppers. The continuous rein line doesn't go over the cabin top on my boat, but further aft to cam cleats on the cockpit coaming (the extra length in the middle ends up piled up on the cockpit sole). For dousing the spinnaker the original dousing bag is missing, I instead use a ChuteScoop. Sorry for no better pics but could take some in a month or so once I'm back in the water.
