S/V Marquesa Main Cabin

Taken inside Marquesa last night, our first entertaining aboard. This one was from an iphone of a friend. Kerri has the good stuff on her camera and will upload soon. It's amazing how many people we can entertain with that cockpit and we kept cycling people in and out of the cozy warm cabin where the hot cider was... and yes, spiced rum for those inclined. For that matter I think there must have been about 10 people below at one time! heh heh Lots of cookies and xmas candy as well. Great holiday music on the XM. The stereo sounds great through the old school bose speakers. We had some of our gultchers and some just good friends. Everyone from tree removal crew that came with Erish to program managers. For me, it was very gratifying to have people ooh and ah over the work. But the best part of the evening was the endless smile on Kerri's face. After cleaning up Kerri and I left the boat just as the snow started. We walked back down for the night later.
More pictures (and much better quality) as I get them.
And with it *almost* the solstice I'll part with my favorite poem of all time.
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
