I've added Skype functionality to the forums. Go into your profiles and add your Skype name.
If you use Prosilver as a skin, when you click on the person's name, you'll see "Skype: send a Skype message."
However, on Subsilver, this isn't working. I'm trying to figure that one out.

(Long Sigh)...I guess this means I'm gonna have to sign up for Skype...lest I drift off into Luddite-ism

No, you don't have to....I just find it very useful, especially when cruising out of the States. I've used it to make calls everywhere from CA this last summer to Guatemala, Honduras and Belize (even via a satellite connect) when we were last down there.
I talk to my parents all of the time when they're working on the computer and need help. We also do video calls and it's nice to see them. Add PCanywhere on top of that and it's just like sitting at their computer with them next to me.

I use Skype to talk to my cruising friends around the world too. It's very very nice for that.
