F25 height without mast

Post by Cedric »

Hi, I just sail a f25 from Sault-Sainte-Marie to Midland Ont. I don't have vacation left to sail the boat home to Montreal so I will bring it on a flatbed trailer with a craddle.

I'm concerned that it might be too high on some roads, so I am looking for the height of the boat without the mast. I know that the draft is 4.42 ft, but what is the height from the waterline to the top of the cabin?

Thank you!

I just took a quick look at sailboat data: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/freedom-25 Although there is no data there, from the scale diagram, if your draft is 1.4m then the highest point is the pulpit / gunpoint at about 1.6m awl, so 3m overall or a little under 10 feet. Hope that helps.

Thank you newt2u, it will give me a rough idea of what to expect. I will look 10' combine with the height of the flatbed and the cradle and see if I am allowed to be on the highway.
