F36/38 Bow in aft stringer while on the hard

Post by Belanich »

Hi All,
Just went to the boat to start some spring. I removed all the floorboards to refinish them and I noticed that the aft stringer (the one that runs along the gally) has a pronounced bow from port to strbd. The stringer near the head has a slight bow. This has never happened before so I am wondering if this is normal while the boat is sitting on its keel or is this something I should be worried about. The boat is an F36 converted to F38 (1987). There is no noticeable distortion of the hull but its hard to tell what the correct hull shape should be. I told the yard manager that the boat might be sitting too much on the aft end of the keel.
Thanks
