F35 rebedding windows and possible windlass installation

Post by tombrandt »

Looking for advice on rebedding the two cabin top angled windows on our F35 I assume you would use caulking tubes of butyl rubber not positive though.

My second topic is installing a windlass forward of the anchor locker. The deck appears to be 2" thick or so I'm assuming it's foam cored, are people cutting the core out and adding epoxy and glass to thicken the area or adding a 1/4" stainless plate on the underside as well on the topside sufficient. If anyone has any pictures and or advice that would be great. TIA.

Fitted my windless on a stainless steel stand inside the chain locker on a 25 mm plywood base epoxied and bolted through
Routed the cables along the port side and added a simple two channel remote with two control units ,a lot cheaper then the lewmar one
