Wood panel help

Post by DonHodgson »

I moved my 1982 CK 33 to a different marina was cleaning out the dock locker and discovered what look like three mohogany boards from the previous owner as shown in the attached pictures (front and back). There are mortised for hinges. I am not even sure if this is original to the boat so does anyone have an idea where this panel would have been located before I decide whether to restore/refinish it.

Thanks

Maybe a folding cockpit table that attaches to the steering pedastal?

Cockpit table. Two hinges for the Binnacle. One for a leg. Enjoy.

Thanks, that makes total sense and I really appreciate the help.

I was looking everywhere inside and couldn't figure out where it went...turns out it was outside where I wasnt looking. The owner replaced it with a plastic version so I will look to switch back to the original since Im already refinishing all the the other wood bits.
