Freedom 32 Yanmar engine throttle and shift control

Post by gringstad »

I've requested this before but no reply as yet. I need info on no longer produced Morse throttle shift contol located to starboard of Edson pedestal on Freedom 32. I'm trying to remove the head to determine how to keep the handle from coming out too easily. There is some kind of locking screw to the spline that I can't see how to remove it to pull the control head off. Is the screw removed with allen wrench? If so what size? If anyone know please reply or call me on 4254786102, Thx GR

Sorry, no help here. We have separate controls for throttle and gearshift. You might also post on another forum, since your control was probably used on a number of other boat makes.

Can you post a picture of your throttle control? The setup on your 32 sounds different than the factory installation.

I’ll try to take and post a photo next time I’m at the boat.
