Freedom 40 Hull thickness.

Above is the photo of the slug I took out when I installed a through hull exit for a/c water. It was located amid ships behind the stove. Below is the section removed when the thruster was installed near the bow.

It makes me feel good to see that nice bone dry core after 30 years too!

George:

Do you have any photos or information on your bow thruster installation?

The Vetus Bow thruster was installed when we purchased Marquesa. It was dead but I tore it down and it mostly needed a cleaning. I've always been impressed with the quality of Vetus products and this one confirms that. It is very heavy duty. I wouldn't have sprung for one if it wasn't already there, but I use it more than I thought I would, including pealing off the fuel dock in St Augustine this morning with a current running.

Does someone still have these photos?
They don't show up on the post anymore (at least for me).
It'd be cool to see!
