rigging specs for F39PH

Post by rbpfyo »

just bought a 39' Pilothouse, rigging pretty rough, gonna start replacing lines, wondering if there is a spec sheet or schedule anywhere for exactly what lines go where, how thick, how long, what material/braid, etc
I have a sneaking suspicion that what's on there right now is not kosher, and it's certainly not new
thanks,

Here's my rigging schedule which I derived from Freedom's original specs and revised w/my cruising profile:

Main Halyard New England Sta-Set X 7/16" Blue - 120'
Main 2nd Halyard New England Sta-Set 7/16" Blue - 120'
Fore Halyard New England Sta-Set X 7/16" Blue - 115'
Fore 2nd Halyard New England Sta-Set 7/16" Blue - 115'
Main Sheet New England Sta-Set 7/16" - 130'
Fore Sheet New England Sta-Set 7/16" - 100'
Main Traveler New England Sta-Set 3/8" - 2 x 20'
Fore Traveler New England Sta-Set 3/8" - 2 x 20'
Main Boomvang New England Sta-Set 7/16" Black - 50'
Fore Boomvang New England Sta-Set 7/16" Black - 50'
Main Outhaul New England Sta-Set 3/8" - 35'
Fore Outhaul New England Sta-Set 3/8" - 25'
Main 1st Reef New England Sta-Set 7/16" Green - 75'
Main 2nd Reef New England Sta-Set 7/16" Red - 110'
Fore 1st Reef New England Sta-Set 7/16" Green - 75'
Fore 2nd Reef New England Sta-Set 7/16" Red - 105'
Main Lazy Jack New England Sta-Set 3/8" - 50'
Main Center Lazy Jack New England Sta-Set 3/8" - 30'
Fore Lazy Jack New England Sta-Set 3/8" - 36'

At 1 point I used Regatta Braid for the main and fore sheets, but it was just too fuzzy to be smooth through my stoppers, so I switched to Sta-Set which ended up being just fine to the hand. Went w/Sta-Set X for the halyards for less stretch, and they've worked out well enough. Rinsing the salt out of the lines has kept them relatively supple the past 14y.

BTW, everything goes back to the cockpit except for the outhauls, travelers, and lazy jacks, and my main sheet is re-routed from end-boom sheeting to the main mast and back to the cockpit along w/everything else.
