I’ve noticed while rigging mine that it goes on much more easily if the curve of the spar is oriented upwards. Hope it helps.

It took me a few years to figure this out on my 40/40 #16. I attach the camberspar to the aft/mast end of the the camberspar first, raise the jib, run a small heavy twine through the grommets to the bow rail, pulling the sail forward until I can get the bolts through the grommets and metal clip. The key is raising the sail most of the way.
