Camber Spar rigging
Camber Spar rigging
I just rigged my F30 for the season. I noticed there is a grommet on the luff of jib at the camber-spar pocket. Does the bolt that holds the wheel on the camber spar go through this grommet?

Yes. Mine came with fender washers instead of the regular sized ones, and an additional pair so there's a washer on either side of the sail. On my setup it goes as follows: bolt head, fender washer, sail, fender washer, stainless clip, camberspar clevis, camberspar sheave/forestay, camberspar clevis, stainless clip, fender washer, sail, fender washer, nyloc nut.

Thank you so much! Exactly what was needed!

F 40/40: My setup is the same except only two washers, one between the bolt head and the sail grommet and the other between the nut and the sail grommet. I always keep a string tied to the stainless clip, since they have an affinity for the water. The camberspar is always a struggle to install in the spring, but I find it is easier to install with the jib almost all the way up.
