Just wanted to share a quick update - I received and installed the end controls the other day. It really was easy, despite the 95 degree heat here. Just two 1/4" holes in the top side of the traveler bar - the end controls even came with hardware. Now I have the peace of mind that the car can never fly off the track, and as a bonus it looks and feels amazing.

It was definitely worth learning to splice to be able to splice the traveler line to the car block, although I'm kicking myself because the line as ordered based on the rigging documents I found is just a bit too short to drop the traveler as far as I'd like to be able to. But not a huge deal - maybe I'll redo the line in a couple months depending on how it feels when I actually get out on the water.

I also figured how to flip my mainsheet fiddle cam cleat over so it's right side up now, which should make it much easier to uncleat and adjust sail trim.

That’s a nice job Ian… enjoy your sailing. I will be down to my boat next week and we are expecting 25 degrees (C of course), which is a nice change for us, its been around 15 for weeks.
