Edson Control cable--Pedrick 35

Post by bobr »

Anyone have the Edson part number for the control cable for the single lever shifter on this boat? The owners manual does not seem to specify it.

Hi Bill and Carole,

Thank you for your reply. Between the thread you quoted and my Yanmar shop manual I was able to pin it down to an Edson 33 series cable with 10/32 threaded ends and a 3 inch throw.

They make that cable in lengths between 6 and 18 feet at 2 foot intervals. It is 11 feet from the back of the tranny to the pedestal. Then you have to add in the rise from the floor to the binnacle, and the cable loops around the engine room a bit, too. So I think I will order the 18 foot length unless someone gives me an exact size.
