Been looking at a boat locally to purchase (‘84 F32). It’s supposed to have the L bracket to fix the base to the hull to keep it from moving at the step however this mast is missing the bracket. This model boat doesn’t have a they boat for the top hat with slot design that I’ve seen mention and I do see two vertical holes at the base of the mast. I just can’t seem to find where the other leg of the L bracket bolts down to the hull. Does anyone have a picture?
I’d also appreciate dimensions of the bracket and material recommendation so I can see what it would take to get one made. Thanks!

I will get you a picture of that today.

Here you go. This is just under 7 inches long and 1 inch wide.
I need to get new bolts to go through it. The bolts that were in it were about 90% corroded through. Previous owner said the mast hadn't been pulled in many years.

Thanks! Is that just a single bolt attaching to the base? Not much of a foot on that at all is there. Does that sit flush parallel to the hat? Looks like it’s on a vertical angle.

...and is that on the port or starboard side of the mast?

My boat does not have a “L” bracket. There are two bolt holes in the top hat and there are two matching holes through the base of the mast. Hope this helps. Sadly i don’t have a side view photo of the holes and currently we’re not allowed in the boat yard due to the quarantine.

This is from overhead with the bow at bottom of pic. The two lines show where the bolt holes are located.

I found out this particular boat has the "L" bracket which appears to be missing so that's something I'll have to get fabricated. Anyone know what the bolt size/grade/pitch is to thread into the mast?
